Peter Rosenfeld, MBBS FRCS(Orth)
Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon
Peter Rosenfeld was appointed as the Consultant Foot & Ankle surgeon to St Mary's Hospital, London in 2004. He trained at the Royal London Hospital, including one year at The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital and attained the FRCS (Orth) in 2003. He went on to subspecialise in Foot & Ankle surgery with the internationally recognised Dr T.Saxby. He has developed the service at St Mary's into a regional foot & ankle unit receiving tertiary referrals from across Southern England. The multidisciplinary clinics include a specialised physiotherapist, podiatrist and orthotist. Each month he has a combined diabetic foot clinics, and also a combined rheumatology foot clinic. At Imperial, he is a Sports Medicine trainer for West London and the Oxford regions. He also runs two courses at the Royal College of surgeons: a cadaveric instructional course on ankle replacements for new consultants, and a cadaveric physiotherapy instructional course on foot and ankle pathologies.
His research interests at Imperial College include arthroplasty and cartilage reconstruction of the ankle. He is also extensively published in International Journals and regularly invited to speak on National and International Courses.
He is a member of the British Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society, the British Orthopaedic Association, Royal Society of Medicine.
